Objectivos

Os estudantes deverão: 1. Desenvolver e exercitar competências de comunicação e atenção respeitosa entre diversas culturas através de mundos linguísticos diferentes. 2. Explorar e compreender o seu lugar e influência potencial num mundo em transformação. 3. Determinar e avaliar relações entre sociedades, comunidades, instituições e sistemas em termos de reciprocidade ? não necessariamente simétrica ? e custos benefícios disso. 4. Desenvolver uma perspectiva de observação sobre a globalização, justiça social e Direitos humanos através da apreciação de situações que suportem reflexão, aprendizagem com vista à acção informada.

1. Introdução geral à temática 1.1. Teorias da modernidade e Globalização 1.2. Globalização e neoliberalismo 1.3. Agentes da globalização: estado-nação, empresas e organizações 2. Justiça Social 2.1. Justiça Social e a abordagem da capacitação 2.2. Justiça Social e vulnerabilidades 3. Direitos Humanos 3.1. Direitos Humanos Transnacionais 3.2. O papel das organizações e das agências regionais à escala global 3.3. Estratégias de efetivação de direitos humanos por movimentos organizados: exemplos de movimentos feministas, LGBTIQA+, trabalhistas, indígenas, ambientais.

Método de Avaliação

Actividades de ensino-aprendizagem desenrolam-se entre aulas teóricas (de exposição via teleconferência dos temas do curriculum por docentes parceiros) e aulas teórico-práticas, onde o debate de temas e casos com os alunos é programado, de modo a explorar as noções expostas em contextos sociais e geopolíticos distintos. Os alunos serão estimulados a organizarem-se em grupos de discussão e leitura, seja para cumprirem os objectivos de avaliação, seja para participarem nas aulas. Espera-se dos estudantes trabalho próprio de apreensão e aprofundamento das temáticas trabalhadas. | A avaliação contínua consiste em três componentes: participação e presença nas aulas (10%); realização de um trabalho em grupo com apresentação de um poster (40%); ensaio individual a entregar no final do semestre (50%). Avaliação por exame final (100%) para os estudantes que não optem pela avaliação contínua.
