Objectivos
No final da UC, os estudantes deverão estar aptos a: 1) Identificar e sistematizar as principais perspectivas teóricas e processos empíricos que associam género, forças armadas e segurança internacional, dando conta das sua múltiplas expressões em variados contextos sociais e históricos; 2) Discutir criticamente o processo de integração de género nas forças armadas e a dimensão de género na segurança internacional, considerando vários níveis de analise (do nível macro das relações civil-militares ao nível micro da interação social); 3) Apresentar e comunicar os resultados das suas análises perante uma audiência alargada e intervir nos debates científicos a esse propósito.

Método de Avaliação
A avaliação do curso inclui os seguintes elementos: 1) Uma recensão critica com cerca de 2/3 páginas (20%) 2) Um ensaio final de 10 páginas, aprofundando um dos tópicos do programa (60%); 3) Uma apresentação de grupo na aula (10%) 4) Participação (10%). Os estudantes devem comparecer a todas as sessões, realizar as leituras requeridas para cada sessão a participar ativamente os debates.
