Objectivos

É objectivo desta UC que o aluno: · Aprofundar conhecimentos sobre modelos de desenvolvimento e suas críticas · Aprofundar os conhecimento sobre ideias e alternativas para a transformação do ponto de vista politico e económico · Compreender de forma mais profunda e crítica as dinâmicas de transformação em curso nas sociedades e as várias formas de adaptação, resistências e transformação perante dinâmicas globais e locais. · Melhorar a capacidade de análise crítica de modelos de desenvolvimento e das várias alternativas em discussão, tanto das suas possibilidades como dos seus limites

1. Modelos de Desenvolvimento e alternativas para a mudança: · Desenvolvimento, modelos de desenvolvimento e perspectivas críticas. · Desafios contemporâneos e modelos de mudança alternativos (da progressiva à mudança radical, visões africanas sobre alternativas para Africa). 2. As dimensões políticas da mudança em Africa e visões para o futuro 3. Visões alternativas da economia, democratização da economia 4.Sociedades africanas e processos de mudança: resistências, resiliências e novas formas de organização e acção. · Sociedades agrárias, permanências e resistências. Movimentos campesinos · Populações urbanas e estratégias de resistências; economia informal 5. Movimentos sociais, parcerias transnacionais e novas maneiras de imaginar a mudança em Africa. 6. Sector privado e novas formas de empreendedorismo e produção 7. Cooperação internacional: críticas e caminhos para a solidariedade internacional 8. Conhecimento, investigação, inovação, e tecnologias para o desenvolvimento

A avaliação envolve a entrega de um ensaio em regime individual sobre um tópico a designar (100%) Não existirá avaliação por exame final
