1. Contexto de emergência da problemática e de investigações sobre qualidade de vida 1.1 O contexto socio-político de desenvolvimento do tema da qualidade de vida e da qualidade de vida urbana 1.2 A qualidade de vida como objecto científico: qualidade de vida e sistemas de indicadores sociais 2.As abordagens sociológicas da qualidade de vida: modelos conceptuais e tratamentos empíricos 2.1. Os sentidos do conceito de qualidade de vida 2.2. Debates, conceitos e medidas na pesquisa sobre qualidade de vida 3. O ressurgimento da problemática da qualidade de vida: transformações societais e urbanas, metas de desenvolvimento e actividades de monitorização 3.1 Qualidade de vida na cidade e qualidade de vida da cidade: a relação com o planeamento urbano 3.2 Sistemas de indicadores sociais e sistemas de monitorização da qualidade de vida em contextos urbanos

Método de Avaliação

O cumprimento dos objectivos programáticos far-se-á através de: a)aulas teóricas de acordo com as problemáticas contidas no programa e respectiva bibliografia; b) aulas práticas onde são estimuladas competências individuais (e de equipa) de operacionalização analítica e treino de discussão crítica, através da: i) recolha e organização de material empírico ilustrativo de uma problemática; ii) apresentação e discussão comparativa de estudos de caso; c) sessões com convidados, possibilitando o contacto com experiências concretas de montagem de sistemas de monitorização da Qualidade de Vida. | A avaliação consistirá: 1. Uma aula prática de grupo de recolha, análise, sistematização e apresentação em aula, de materiais empíricos e/ou estudos de caso (25%) 2. Trabalho escrito individual de enquadramento conceptual do tema empírico e do respectivo material da aula prática. (cerca de 15 págs). (75%)
