Objectivos

No final da UC, os alunos deverão: OA1 - Ser capazes de identificar e comentar de modo informado as principais características das diferentes regiões e áreas culturais em destaque nas aulas; OA2 - Ter adquirido uma visão geral da processualidade histórica subjacente à constituição de ambas as macroregiões; OA3 - Compreender a importância e a originalidade da Antropologia na abordagem ao conhecimento da diversidade cultural de ambas as macroregiões e dos seus traços distintivos.

Programa

CP1 - A Oceania: do emaravilhamento romântico ao Antropoceno. CP2 - A presença europeia no Pacífico, exploração, descobertas científicas, literatura de viagens, etnocídio. CP3 - Introdução à etno-história da Oceania: a) Melanésia - ecologia, diversidade cultural e estruturas sociais; b) Polinésia – sociedades e sistemas de navegação; c) Austrália - esboço etno-histórico e etnográfico. CP4 - Ásia: Geografias e mapas culturais CP5 - India: Multiplicidades sociais e religiosas CP6 - China: Antepassados e Filosofias CP7 - Japão: Tradição, natureza e cultura
