Objectivos
No final da unidade curricular, o aluno deverá ser capaz de: OA1 - Descrever as etapas fundamentais na história da Europa no século XX. OA2 - Identificar e avaliar as principais explicações para os fenómenos de mudança política. OA3 - Comparar os processos nacionais e internacionais de mudança política.
Programa
Programa 1. Métodos e técnicas da análise histórica. 2. A Europa entre as Guerras. 2.1. Antecedentes. 2.2. A crise do modelo liberal. 2.3. A Primeira Guerra Mundial: geo-estratégia, divisão territorial, clivagens. 2.4. A revolução russa e o seu impacto. 2.5. A radicalização da direita: autoritarismo, cultura política e mudança social. 3. O Milagre Europeu. 3.1. A Segunda Guerra Mundial e as origens da Guerra Fria 3.2. Planificação económica, Estado Providência e economia mista. 3.3. As instituições do após guerra e a Diplomacia Europeia: multilateralismo, a questão alemã, a Europa dos Seis e o início da "détente". 3.4. O Gaulismo e a democracia cristã. Crescimento económico e novas práticas de consumo. A Europa do norte e a Europa do sul. 3.5. O final dos anos 60 e os anos 70. A crise do modelo europeu. A viragem dos anos 80 e a Perestroika.
Método de Avaliação
A avaliação consiste numa intervenção oral realizada na aula e num pequeno trabalho sobre o mesmo tema, escolhido pelo aluno.
