Objectivos

A Unidade Curricular visa aprofundar o conhecimento dos estudantes sobre questões africanas contemporâneas nos domínios político, social, económico e cultural. Deste modo, os objectivos de aprendizagem da UC são: - identificar ideologias diversas em actuação em África, - desenvolver uma visão comparativa de regimes políticos em África, - identificar as principais instituições internacionais africanas e as relações estabelecidas com poderes tradicionais e emergentes, - compreender as diversas manifestações e construções de cidadania no continente, - compreender a importância das tecnologias de informação e comunicação no continente africano. Pretende-se que os estudantes compreendam os principais conceitos dos debates actuais nos Estudos Africanos sobre esses temas, apliquem os conhecimentos adquiridos e debatam de forma informada as matérias em análise.

1. Avaliação ao longo do semestre a) Apresentação individual oral com base num ou mais textos sugeridos pela docente: 25% b) Ensaio individual escrito sobre um dos tópicos do programa, com especial ênfase na revisão da literatura: 75% 2. Exame final
