Objectivos

- Apreender o significado da existência de diferentes conceções teóricas e sociais no contexto da Era da Informação e das Redes; - Fomentar a pesquisa, nomeadamente sobre o impacto social da Internet e tecnologias relacionadas, no sector da saúde;

Programa

1. Comunicação em Saúde, Comunicação de saúde ou Comunicação e Saúde? 2. A importância da Comunicação e das TIC no âmbito da saúde pública 3. A saúde na era da Informação: cidadãos, conteúdos e redes sociais 4. As TIC na saúde: empowerment e autonomia dos cidadãos? 5. A saúde na era da Informação: os profissionais e instituições

Método de Avaliação

A avaliação da unidade curricular assenta em duas componentes complementares: 1. Trabalho semanal (leitura crítica, síntese e discussão de textos) — 30% 2. Ensaio individual final (ensaio analítico curto) — 70% Estas componentes avaliam competências distintas, mas articuladas, essenciais para compreender e analisar criticamente a comunicação em saúde na Era da Informação e das Redes: leitura crítica e síntese, participação e discussão fundamentada, investigação autónoma, argumentação rigorosa e aplicação de conceitos a situações reais. Será realizado um exame final para os estudantes que não realizarem ou reprovarem na avaliação ao longo do semestre (2ª época).
