This class, part of the DBA course Business in Transition: Pathways to Sustainability, explored the concept of sustainability transitions, focusing on the balance between economic, social, and environmental dimensions. It covered key theories, barriers, and sectoral dynamics, with particular emphasis on the role of organizations, business model innovation (BMI), and technological advancements. Through lectures, case studies, and group work, students analyzed real-world applications such as electric mobility and renewable energy integration. The session aimed at developing critical thinking and practical skills, enabling students to understand and address sustainability challenges across sectors. Key insights highlighted the importance of integrated approaches, adaptive strategies, and innovation in driving sustainable development.
