Guidelines for psychological practice in regard to diversity based on Sexual orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sexual Characteristics (SOGIESC):
- APA guidelines for psychologists in working with Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual clients
- APA guidelines for psychological practice with transgender populations.
Specific awareness, knowledge and skills related with work with trans and gender diverse populations were the main target of this class. Two vídeos were discussed. Issues related with children and families were also a focus of a case study.
Finally, the Standards of Care (SOC-8) were introduced, while cultural and legal differences were recognized.
