Objetivos Gerais / Objectives
1. Apresentação das principais visões sobre teorias e políticas de desenvolvimento numa perspectiva de Economia Política. 2. Capacitação dos estudantes para a compreensão e discussão informada dos principais problemas de desnvolvimento contemporâneos.

OA1. Compreender de forma contextualizada as principais abordagens teóricas em Economia Política à problemática do desenvolvimento. OA2. Conhecer as principais controvérsias em termos de políticas de desenvolvimento, relacionando-as com as diferentes abordagens teóricas e com experiências de desenvolvimento específicas. OA3. Explorar alguns dos principais desafios contemporâneos do desenvolvimento numa perspectiva de Economia Política.

Avaliação / Assessment
A avaliação da disciplina consistirá na elaboração de um trabalho de grupo com apresentação (25% da nota final) e na elaboração um ensaio individual (75% da nota final). Para os alunos que optarem por avaliação final, o ensaio individual valerá 100% da nota. Em época de recurso, os alunos serão avaliados por exame escrito (100% da nota final).

Aulas teóricas expositivas com discussão em sala de aula; procura de informação na internet e em biblioteca; trabalho colectivo; interação com o professor.

As aulas teóricas expositivas seguidas de debate em sala de aula permitem transmitir e discutir as teorias de desenvolvimento, as políticas de desenvolvimento e os problemas contemporâneos (OA1; OA2; OA3). A procura autónoma de informação é particularmente relevante para complementar e aprofundar o processo de aprendizagem no que se refere a experiências específicas de desenvolvimento (OA2) e a problemas de desenvolvimento contemporâneos (OA3). A recensão crítica efetuada em grupo focará temáticas recentes, estando então relacionada com os problemas de desenvolvimento contemporâneos (OA3).
