The class explored cultural heritage as a dynamic resource capable of contributing to the sustainable development of territories. From an interdisciplinary perspective, it examined the role of the adaptive reuse of built heritage in fostering social, cultural, and economic activation, particularly in peripheral and rural contexts. The relationship between conservation, transformation, and new functions was discussed. The lecture also reflected on the challenges related to public policies and heritage management within the European context.
