The goal of this workshop is to cover various aspects involved in managing a scientific career. Focusing on the national reality but with an international perspective, we aim to overview employers and career frameworks within the national research and innovation system, review skills and competence acquisition from the research activity and introduce participants to goal setting and career planning. We aim to provide a moment to reflect on own career, to become aware of skill sets and creation of opportunities. We will rely on a wide approach to research-based career paths to encourage individual professional development.

Workflows for planning and executing replication

An effective workflow is essential for effectively running and executing a research study. This two-day workshop uses the process of planning and executing a replication study to teach principles of good research workflow, including: (1) specifying a smallest effect size of interest and setting a target recruitment number based on that effect size; (2) managing data and meta-data on your computer; (3) creating a pre-specified analysis script; (4) archiving your materials on an online repository.
