Objectivos

O aluno que complete com sucesso esta Unidade Curricular será capaz de: OA1. Identificar e descrever as principais teorias psicológicas no âmbito do envelhecimento OA2. Analisar as representações sobre as pessoas idosas e discutir as suas consequências ao nível individual, inter-individual e social OA3. Avaliar as necessidades psicossociais da população idosa OA4. Definir estratégias de intervenção na área da Psicologia Social do Envelhecimento

Programa

CP1. Introdução à Psicologia Social do Envelhecimento CP1.1. Psicologia e envelhecimento: perspectivas sobre as mudanças físicas e cognitivas, as transições no ciclo de vida e o relacionamento social CP1.2. Psicologia social e envelhecimento: auto-imagem, redes sociais e estereótipos sociais sobre os idosos. CP2. Intervenções psicossociais junto de populações idosas CP2.1. Bem-estar e avaliação de necessidades psicossociais em populações idosas. CP2.2. Intervenção psicossocial com idosos e com as pessoas que os rodeiam (família, cuidadores, redes de amizade, comunidade).

Método de Avaliação

Em regime de avaliação periódica, os alunos terão de realizar: i) 2 trabalhos individuais escritos que serão discutidos nas aulas (cada um destes trabalhos vale 25% da nota final); ii) um trabalho de grupo (que vale 50% da nota final da disciplina). Todos os trabalhos deverão ter uma nota superior a 9.5 valores. Os alunos que não estiverem inscritos ou que reprovem na avaliação periódica, poderão ir a um exame final (1ª ou 2ª época).
