Conclusion of the discussion of work group 1. The intelectual puzzle and the research questions. Methodoloy and methods. How to judge the qaulity of qualitative research. Work group 2.


Class 3

Discussion of work group 3. Research based on positivism and interpretativism. Forms of analysis of qualitative research. Methods to produce data. The qualtitaive research process.


Class 4

Case study as a research strategy. Types of case studies. Prejudices against case study. Main steps of case study and qualitative research. Designing the research project. Tests for evaluating the quality of the reseach design: construct validity, internal validity, external validity and reliabilty. The role of researchers. Preparing to collect evidence. Main sources of evidence. Types of interviews. Work group 5.


Class 5

Assessing evidence. Analysis of qualitative data: identifying and explaining patterns. Data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing and verification. Work group 6. Computer-assisted tools for qualitative data analysis (CAQDA). Coding and Gioia methodology. Developing theory. Writing up a qualitative paper and the PhD thesis.

The exam of the course has been postponed following the Rector's decision to interrupt presencial teaching due to Covid.
