Introduction to general principles related to healthcare in diverse professions: respect for rights and dignity, integrity, competence, responsibility, social justice, beneficence and non-maleficence.

Limits to autonomy given age (children and youths) and informed consent. Parental consent / legal representatives for assessment and intervention (e.g. in cases of divorced/separated couples); implications for report writing.

Limits to confidentiality/privacy with issues of child maltreatment and interpersonal violence.
