The lecture gave an overview of concepts and theories that deal with EU (and in particular its external relations) and to examine whether and how they perceive EU as a global actor? The purpose of this lecture was to familiarize students with theoretical approaches and analytical tools they will be able to draw on and use when writing their essays (assessments). The lecture focused on IR and regional integration theories, various conceptualizations of actorness, and the evolution of the actorness debate.
