This practical class taught how diverse code versions of Ryu SDN controller can control via protocol OpenFlow v1.0 the network operation. The applicants learn how to make some code changes in the controller  for blocking some pre-selected traffic.

This laboratory introduces to students the necessary knowledge in how to configure the necessary control rules in a programmable switch for controlling the way the traffic is forwarded through the network infrastrructure. The topology will be tested in diverse scenarios. The results of each test are analyzed using captured traffic via wireshark and some suggested shell commands.
